Our Journey [ Vision | Values | Purpose | Beliefs ]

Throughout 2003, the Leadership Team embarked on the 'Journey into Mission Church' project, as part of the AOG's vision to re-purpose it's 600 plus churches into 'mission' churches. For many churches like ours, this means readdressing the imbalance from being too inward looking to being more externally focussed.

As a result, in January 2004 we launched a new vision which paints a picture of how we believe God wants us to look in the future.

At this time also, we took it upon ourselves to create a clearly defined set of Core Values which states what we as a church class as important. Everything we do is evaluated against these.

Along with our values we produced a purpose statement to clarify why we exist, not just our church, but God's 'universal' church. We have re-examined the scriptures and identified five areas that God wants his church to operate within. We aim to keep these in clear focus and make sure that we function as evenly as possible in all of them.

Finally on these pages you can view the 'statements of faith' (or 'beliefs') that we hold to corporately in fellowship with the Assemblies of God in Great Britain & Ireland.
