To provide a safe and secure environment to help children
develop in the period leading up to school. Children will be
encouraged to learn through their play making their own choices and
developing social, physical and emotional skills, enabling
holistic
development.
To create an atmosphere of equality, encouraging mutual respect
irrespective of disability, race, culture, gender or religion.
Admission:
Children are admitted from the age of two. The required minimal number of sessions to be attended is
two; the maximum number of sessions is five.
Fees
:
£6.00 per session, payable in advance at the beginning of each half
term. Milk and healthy snacks are provided. The Play Group is registered to
accept government funding to pay towards childcare.
Opening Times
:
Monday and Tuesday (9.00am to 11.30am & 12.45pm to
3.15pm). Wednesday's (9.00am to 11.30am).
Rising Fives Pre School Unit
:
This follows a curriculum which covers every area of development and
each child is allocated sessions in the unit the week after their fourth
birthday. Assessment records are kept on all children and passed onto
the child’s school. Parents can discuss the child’s progress at any
time.
OFSTED
: Play Group is governed by Ofsted guidelines and staff have to access
training on an ongoing basis. All staff are police checked.
