‘Prayer Partners’ is a scheme that can benefit all, from the
young to the old. The benefits are:
Everyone in church can be covered in prayer. No one needs to be
left out.
You actively get more involved in prayer.
As well as praying universal prayers, you ask God into a specific
situation in someone’s life and can keep track of how God works in
the situation.
You get to know your prayer partner on a more personal basis.
It works by filling out a prayer request form so that your partner
will know what to pray about. It is placed in an envelope for anonymity.
The envelopes are collected and randomly paired. Your partner’s
request is delivered to you and you make a commitment to pray for the
following month. Opportunity to meet and talk with your partner can be
arranged to keep short accounts of progress and the work of God in their
lives.
While seeing God at work in another’s life you will also feel the
benefit of His work in yours.
