PHIL
WILLIAMS REPORTS...
Great visit, eleven Gypsies got saved! A great start to even
greater things ahead I am sure, one of the best visits yet.
Lots of work got done thanks
to Mark and Josh on the electrical side, loads of painting down to
Sandra, Pauline, Ami, James, Sofia, Marian and Dianne, and a fitted
kitchen
courtesy of Les. John and I did a bit of running around mainly to the
border and back on more than one occasion (Romanians love paper work!!!)
The running back and forth was a pain I must admit, but the trips paled
into insignificance as we witnessed eleven adult gypsies give their
lives over to Jesus. It was a great sight and even better to hear each
one praying to our Saviour for forgiveness and inviting Him into their
lives. As we encouraged them, John explained to them that tonight the
angels in heaven were rejoicing with them, as they had chosen to follow
Jesus.
Please pray for the eleven, as I left them on Wednesday night, after
going through some nurture notes with them, I made a deal with them; I
told them if they pray for us, we would pray for them, I am sure they
will keep to their side of the deal, please join me in keeping our side.
Again thanks to all who prayed whilst we were away, it certainly paid
off.

REPORT...
We reached our destination at approximately 10.30pm Saturday Night
after a four hour wait at the Hungarian / Romanian border.
Sunday morning saw us at Dumbrava for the morning service and the
dedication of little Adrian. The children were very pleased to see us,
especially John and Sandra.
We gave out leaflets for the ‘Jesus’ film to be shown that Sunday
afternoon at Dumbrava. The church was packed for the occasion – the
children love to sing and worship Jesus.
The weather was extremely good to us and we able to do all the
painting, finish the kitchen and the fitting of the electrics. During
the week we visited the village of Reaper. It was very poor since there
was no water and the children hardly had any clothes or shoes and they
were matted with dirt. We were able to distribute some clothes and shoes
but we didn’t have enough shoes for everyone.
One high point of the trip was the eleven gypsies who made a
commitment to follow Jesus and their pastor, Peter, who will nurture
them.
I thank God for everyone’s prayers – we certainly had travelling
mercies.
